Boeing 737NG Simulator Level-D Upgrade
IFTC Istanbul houses two Airbus 320 and two Boeing 737-NG simulators. Currently, in the center, there are two levels of certificates for each type of simulator: Level D and Level C.
Recently the decision has been taken by IFTC Istanbul management to upgrade the Boeing 737 Level C (Certificate No: FR-157 Z) simulator to Level D. After the mentioned upgrade, three of IFTC Istanbul's four simulators will be Level D.
For this purpose, technical inspectors from French DGAC - French Civil Aviation Authority- are invited to IFTC Istanbul on May, 18, 2011 to make the upgrade.
As the Level D upgrade for the Boeing 737-NG Level C simulator is granted, the new certificate will be available on IFTC Istanbul official website.
Aero Training Solutions Cooperation: First Graduates
IFTC Istanbul's first students through Aero Training Solutions of India completed type rating training.
IFTC Istanbul is in cooperation with Aero Training Solutions which is a solution provider located in India. Aero Training Solutions is established to provide solutions for the growing demand of pilot training in the Guwahati, Assam region and all India. As part of this cooperation, the Aero Training Solutions sends pilots to IFTC Istanbul for their Boeing 737 NG and Airbus 320 Type Rating Training.
IFTC Istanbul and Aero Training Solutions cooperation has already panned out. IFTC Istanbul's first Indian student pilots Satbir Singh and Alok Kumar were here in IFTC Istanbul for their Boeing 737NG type rating training and they completed the training this week. After the completion of their necessary base training, IFTC graduates will be ready to start working as pilots in Airlines.
B737-NG Level D Recurrent Certificate issued
IFTC Istanbul has received the recurrent certificate of B737-800W Level D simulator from Turkish Civil Aviation Authority.
Turkish Civil Aviation Authority was in IFTC on April 04, 2011, for the recurrent evaluation of Sim-1 B737-NG Level D simulator. The results were satisfying for IFTC Istanbul: The inspectors from Turkish Civil Aviation Authority finished the evaluations with no findings and IFTC Istanbul has received the certificate from Turkish Aviation Authority on the 7th of April.
The STD Qualification certificate, which approves that our Sim-1 B737-NG Level D simulator is meeting the necessary JAR-FSTD A qualification requirements, is extended until next evaluation.
