Recurrent Evaluation and IAE Engine Capability

The inspectors from French DGAC will be in IFTC Istanbul on 28-30 June 2011 for the recurrent evaluations of A320 Level C Simulator (FR-158 Z) and A320 Level D Simulator (FR-156 AZ), and for the annual quality audit.

A320 Level D Simulator is qualified with two types of engines: CFMI CFM 56-5-B4 and IAE 2527-A5. A320 Level C Simulator is qualified only with CFM56-5B4 engine.

IFTC Istanbul management decided to update A320 Level C Simulator also with the IAE 2527-A5 engine. For this purpose, it is scheduled with French DGAC to carry out the IAE 2527-A5 engine update for A320 Level C Simulator on 28-30 June 2011 together with the recurrent evaluations and annual quality audit of both A320 simulators.

As the new certificates for both A320 simulators are granted, they will be available on IFTC Istanbul official website.

B737-NG Level D Recurrent Certificate issued

IFTC Istanbul has received the recurrent certificate of B737-800W Level D simulator from Turkish Civil Aviation Authority.

Turkish Civil Aviation Authority was in IFTC on April 04, 2011, for the recurrent evaluation of Sim-1 B737-NG Level D simulator. The results were satisfying for IFTC Istanbul: The inspectors from Turkish Civil Aviation Authority finished the evaluations with no findings and IFTC Istanbul has received the certificate from Turkish Aviation Authority on the 7th of April.

The STD Qualification certificate, which approves that our Sim-1 B737-NG Level D simulator is meeting the necessary JAR-FSTD A qualification requirements, is extended until next evaluation.

IFTC Extends B737NG Certificates for Two Years

French DGAC slot for evaluationThe visit of French DGAC for their annual evaluation of IFTC Istanbul took place at 8th and 9th March 2011. In the first day of the audit, French DGAC inspectors, Philip EHLSCHEID and Olivier Mazzoleni made objective and subjective evaluations of the Boeing 737 Level D simulator (Certificate No: FR-157Z); and Boeing 737 Level C simulator (Certificate No: FR-199Z ) was the subject of the audit the following day.
